ncrease your energy level. Exercising delivers oxygen and nutrients to your whole body helping it work more efficiently and boost your endurance.
Weight control. Being active will prevent excess weight gain or help maintain weight loss. You burn calories during exercise and the more intense the exercise, the more calories you burn. There are several ways you can fit exercise into your daily routine even when you can’t make it to the gym. Try taking the stairs instead of the elevator or walking to the store instead of driving.
Combat health conditions and disease. Exercising regularly can significantly decrease ones risk for a number of diseases, especially cardiovascular disease. It can also prevent stroke, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, depression, certain types of cancer and arthritis.
Exercise makes you happier! Physical activity releases chemicals in your brain called endorphins that are known to make you feel happier and more relaxed.
Regular physical activity helps you sleep better. When you are active during the day, you typically fall asleep easier and stay asleep longer.
